We are currently seeking a Survey Field Technician for a variety of tasks on survey projects in Southern Maine. The person in this position will assist Land Surveyors in collecting field information as well as assist in data reduction in the office.

Position Requirements

Work primarily in the field on control, boundary, subdivision and topographic surveys on two-person field crews in Maine.

Set up total stations and levels for collection or layout of survey data in the field.

Record notes in the field per company standards.

Perform mathematical calculations and field checking of data.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of high school diploma and 1 year of experience in the surveying industry desired but not necessary.

Basic knowledge of the terminology and principles of surveying terms.

Degree in surveying and AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Additional Skills and Abilities

Knowledge and understanding of basic plan reading.

Must be able to follow directions from the Field Crew Chief Surveyor and work with minimal supervision when necessary.

Comfortable working outside during all seasons.

Pay:  Commensurate with experience



The Civil Engineer will participate in the design and implementation of civil engineering strategies as part of our engineering team.  This professional will play a key role in overall site plan development effort including site layout, erosion control, drainage, grading, storm water management, and utility design.  The professional will also be involved in permitting, project administration, project coordination, and site design implementation.  This position is client facing and a successful candidate will be a professional, self-motivated, and energetic individual with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.


Required Education, Skills and Experience


  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study

  • Familiarity with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite

  • Strong technical and writing skills

  • Five (5) plus years of relevant experience

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage several project schedules and budgets.

Ability to research, interpret, and apply local, State and Federal regulations and design guidelines
