Buzzell Road Stream Crossing Replacement – Dayton, Maine

The Town of Dayton retained BH2M to provide a comprehensive redesign of a failing culvert that was conveying Coldwater Brook under Buzzell Road.  BH2M supported the Town with a successful grant application approved under the State of Maine Grants for Stream Crossing Public Infrastructure Improvements.  The proposed project replaced a failing 9’ x 4.5’ corrugated metal pipe arch with twin reinforced concrete box culverts that provide a 22’ wide natural substrate stream crossing.  BH2M provided permitting with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the United Sates Army Corps of Engineers.  Construction of the project was completed in September 2017.
