Environmental Services

Environmental conditions and regulatory requirements play a critical role in project feasibility, design, and permitting. BH2M’s Environmental Services team provides the technical expertise and practical insight needed to accurately assess site constraints and support efficient project delivery.

Our staff includes professional wetland scientists, licensed site evaluators, and Maine DEP-certified Third-Party Inspectors. This multidisciplinary expertise allows us to perform detailed field investigations, interpret regulatory jurisdiction, and provide clear, defensible documentation to support permitting efforts as well as construction and post-construction compliance.

We work closely with our engineering teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning from the outset. Early identification of natural resource constraints—such as wetlands, streams, and soils helps inform design decisions, reduce permitting risk, and avoid costly revisions later in the process.

BH2M also provides construction-phase support to help ensure projects remain compliant with permit conditions. Our experience in inspection and monitoring allows us to identify and address issues early, minimizing the potential for delays or enforcement actions.
